After Fringe 2019, I decided that I wanted to record an original solo piano album. I launched straight into composing one melody per day, because that sounded like a productive and fun thing to do. And it was. I experimented a lot with harmonising, and more exotic scales. I kept doing this for a couple of months until I became a little more drawn to jamming with others, and practicing ‘solfeggio’, which describes the art of saying ’do re mi fa so’ over and over again. It’s good, give it a try and you’ll know what I mean. There are claims online that it improves musicality, and now I've done it a fair bit, I reckon they’re right. Anyway, after I developed some solid rough tunes I could improvise on, I decided to run them on the street 10hrs/day for a month. Since the start of October I have have focused completely on getting these compositions ready for recording. I plan on having the album recorded by December 2019. I’ll keep you posted.
